The PrioNet Prion Protein & Plasmid Production Platform Facility (PrP5) is
accessible to all Full Scientific Members of PrioNet. The platform
provides a diverse selection of high quality proteins and plasmids for
use in a variety of experimental work. Available products can be
viewed on our products page.
Requests are reviewed for approval by PrioNet's Research Management

Available Products
Formats for protein provision
Materials can be requested in forms of plasmid, bacterial culture or purified protein. Plasmids and bacterial cultures will be provided along with necessary protocols for expression and purification. All products are provided with product formation, sample purity and appropriate MSDS.
Products Available for Distribution
Many prion protein variants have already been produced in the lab. These proteins are shown in the table below. The lab is also capable of generating additional constructs and mutants for use in specific experiments. Custom prions require more time to prepare and there are limited numbers of these requests that can be completed (with approval from PrioNet Canada). Please contact us to arrange a consultation.
