Timothy (Tim) Jewison recently completed his M. Sc student in the Computing Science department. His education background includes two undergraduate degrees, one in Immunology and another in Computing Science. He started working in Dr. Wishart’s lab in 2008 as a computing science undergraduate working on Simcell, a metabolic modeling software based on cellular automata. Tim progressed into working on database projects including the Small Molecules Pathway Database, DrugBank, the Human Metabolome Database, the Yeast Metabolome Database, and the E. coli Metabolome Database. His current focus is on pathway visualization and modeling for the upcoming Small Molecules Pathway Database update. His research interests lie in systems biology, metabolomics, machine learning and modeling.
