Dr. Lu Deng joined Dr. Wishart’s research group in Sept 2013 as a
Post-Doctoral Fellow. Lu completed her PhD in the Department of
Chemistry, University of Alberta (March 2013), where her PhD work
focused on the development and application of electrospray ionization
mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) based techniques to study non-covalent
protein-ligand complexes in solution and the gas phase. Lu has a
particular interest in applying MS based techniques for the study of
biological systems. Currently, her work involves both directing and
doing key components of the research and development to create an
easy-to-use MS-based kit for Companion Diagnostics & Personalized
Medicine.
