Research interests
My field of research falls under a couple of areas: 1) application of metabolomics in livestock research (www.lmdb.ca), 2) biomarker discovery for economic traits in livestock using metabolomics, 3) point-of-care device development for rapid detection of economic traits in livestock, 4) machine learning and smart agricultural technologies. I often use sheep as the animal model to start with, and upon concept approval, I apply the models/findings to other livestock species.
