Research interests
Hi, I’m Kellie and I’m an undergraduate student majoring in biology and psychology! I’ve worked on a diverse range of projects, requiring the collaboration of the biochemistry, engineering and computer science teams, which is my favorite part of working in this lab. I want to become fluent in everyone’s discipline-specific languages because I believe that the most optimal solutions tend to require this holistic approach.

Although the short-term objectives and the skills required for each of my projects seem to be quite different, my underlying motive has always been centered around our health! For example, my most personal project involved taking samples of my blood to investigate the effects of various physiological stressors on hundreds of plasma metabolites. This not only filled a gap in research, but it also demonstrated the ease and utility of frequent self-administered blood collection. I’m still deciding on what my next steps will be, but I’d love to contribute to a future where we know precisely when and why we develop any illness, as well as the treatments that are right for each of us.
